I've been quiet and lurking, but wanted to share with you why I love PixelSwagger. First, it's a community. I always feel welcome and have fun when I stop lurking and make it to events. I'm so grateful for this group because it was started with the intention of bringing people together. I'm lucky to be a part of this group, and some amazing others. What is your fave community?

Second, it's the creativity. From Abby's builds, the live performers, the amazing DJs, the fantastic events, the thoughtfulness that goes into the planning. It's more than that, though, it's also the support that this group gives to those who get involved. Promoting each other, supporting each other. I feel like they want to see their friends succeed in their endeavors and I love that so much.

I love many things about PixelSwagger and you can find my fave links at the bottom of this post, including a link to the group's discord. That's probably the easiest way to keep up with what is going on. You can also share your wins in this group, and find out where people are. The other thing I love is that this group gives me an opportunity to express myself through being a blogger.

Those of you who follow me on Flickr probably know that nature photography is my passion, and where I feel most comfortable, but I've been practicing taking portraits and fashion blog pics for PixelSwagger. These two pics were taken a couple days apart, but with the same skin, shape, and makeup. It's always amazing to me how a few tweaks can completely change a look, and how I don't have to compare myself to others, because growing in my photography and fashion blogging is a process.

It was really hard to come up with an outfit for this one!  I wanted to be casual, but it feels like such a big occasion!  But at the end of the day, I went with my Smokefest Vibes, which is really the Undergrounds Vibes as well.  Casual, Calm, and Comfortable.  A place to enjoy the best music, and just chill.  So come as you are, grab a blunt, and sit back to an amazing evening filled with amazing talents.

The truth is that I am lucky to know some amazing people, but they doubt themselves at times. If I'm honest, so do I. But, I'm trying to get more comfortable with just being me and focusing what I need. And to not worry if I'm not good enough. I've been learning to take care of myself first, and everything else starts to fall into place. I have to say, I'm so fortunate to be a part of PixelSwagger and some other amazing groups of people. It is true that we only get one RL, so we might as well laugh, own who we are, and enjoy it. Hopefully some come along for the ride. I think that's the best we can hope for really -- to share some laugh, have some hugs, and some support along the way. I feel really lucky to have found this PixelSwagger community in kind of a round about way.

It's not just another group, another family, another club, a bunch of amazing DJs and artists. It's all of these things, but mostly it's the people that make this a community and a fun group to be in, and one that has made my Second Life much more vibrant. I have to thank Aria, Teegan, and Abby, for noticing me and reaching out and asking me to get involved. Lots of PixelSwagger hugs.

People often say that change is hard, but staying stuck in the same rut is even harder. Lately I have felt a bit stuck, but then I look back and see how far I've come and how many amazing people I've met through Pixel Swagger. I'm proud of the group and everything they work hard to create. My best advice is to surround yourself with good people and everything else falls into place.
